Looking towards a well-fenced homestead with numerous vertical fence posts that extend upwards, as found among the Anyuak communities where Lienhardt carried out fieldwork during 1952-1954. The entrance through the fence is directly ahead where the fence line overlaps to form an indirect access so that the interior is not visible from the outside. To the side of the fence are two forked branches where spears can be rested before entry.
