His election came during the general Assembly of the Sudan Presbyterian Evangelical Church (SPEC) # 214 that was held in Khartoum from February 22 – 26, 2008.

Pastor Philip is   the only Anyuak pastor in Sudan Presbyterian Evangelical Church. He is well known for his leadership and managerial abilities. As a gifted pastor Rev. Philip was ordained two years ago. The following year he was assigned as Youth Supervisor, a ministry by itself.

Rev. Philip started his career some 18 years ago. Pastor Philip served as an evangelist in charge of the Evangelical Church in the town of El–Obeid, North Kordufan State, in the western part of Sudan. He also established many churches in that part of the country as well.

Having received his theological Studies at Nile Theological College in Khartoum North four years ago, Rev. Philip, also obtained another degree from Ahalia University in Omudurman in field of Business Administration a filed that he himself is gifted in.

It is possible to say that Rev. Philip is one of the influential leaders not only among the Community of Anyuak but also at the level of all churches of the Sudan. He is a diligent hard worker who believes in self-development. He is a visionary person. In spite of the difficult times that he has undergone, Pastor Philip was able to achieve his so much in his career.

This is a great privilege to Anyuak Community both in Sudan and worldwide. History will ever record this great event. The Anyuak Community must support each other to achieve great things for the benefit of all people. Anyuak community members in various parts of Sudan and elsewhere received the news with great joy. “This is one of the most important events in the history of our community”, explained Odangi Aboki, member of Anyuak Community in Khartoum.  Anyuak Community members all over the world are thankful to God for this significant development.

We wish Rev. Philip a bright future and long life by the grace of God.
