May 18, 2008 (Minneapolis, MN) - A high level Gambella Regional Government delegation led by the Chief Administrator of Gambella State, Omod Obang, is to leave for US on Friday May 30, 2008 to encourage natives of the state residing overseas to take part in the nation building process. The Gambella head is also expected to deliver strong and convincing message to the Gambella diaspora residents at large, including answering questions of vital importance to the lives of Gambella people.

During the visit, the delegation is expected to sincerely brief the nationals on the development, good governance and democratization process underway in the state. Anyuak Media confirmed that additional to that, the delegation is anticipated to appeal to the nationals to pledge investment of their capital in their country.

“This visit will be the first of its kind by the Head of Gambella state as part of the plan to encourage natives of the state residing overseas to take part in nation building process”, Omod Obang stated, adding that “the nationals have already been briefed on the security in the state as well as investment options and incentives”.

The delegation is also expected to visit various cities in US especially two states, Minnesota and Nebraska, where a lot of the nationals are concentrated.

The Anywaa Community Association in North America (ACANA) on their part are preparing to make sure that the delegations get a warm welcome and good hospitality during the visit until they go back home.

During the first delegation exploratory visit from Gambella State to Minnesota on April 25, 2008, ACANA has received a lot of criticisms from its members, but the ACANA Executive Committee did not accept the claims.

On other hand Anyuak Media is preparing social gathering night after the meeting on May 31, 2008 to generate fund at that night. Anyuak Media team strongly believes people will have a lot of fun that night which one should not miss.
