August 10, 2009 (MINNEAPOLIS) – The Hennepin County medical examiner's office is identifying the body found in the Mississippi River in Minneapolis on Sunday.
He's 23-year-old Marwa Akway Omot of Minneapolis. The medical examiner says the cause of death hasn't yet been determined.
His body was found by boaters about 1 p.m. Sunday about 200 yards south of the Plymouth Avenue bridge in Minneapolis.
Police have said they believe the man was in the water about two days before he was discovered.
