Former Cuban Ambassador visit Gambella State

October 12, 2008 (Gambella) — Former Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ricardo Garcia Diaz said Ethiopia is achieving encouraging results through its national development programs geared towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Upon completion of his visit to the Gambella State, in western Ethiopia, ambassador Garcia lauded Ethiopia’s effort in all sectors of development to realize MDGs .

The ambassador said the visit allowed him to get first hand information on Ethiopia’s achievements in agriculture, education, health, road construction and other infrastructure development activities.

The ambassador reassured his country would further strengthen the long-standing relations with Ethiopia.

Deputy Chief Administrator of the State, Giner Yer on his part said Cuba’s support to Ethiopia in general and to the State in particular is commendable.
