Over the past few years from 1950-2010 some missionary and humanitarian workers from America and Europe played a critical role in fulfilling the fundamental needs of Gambella indigenous community. Jude was among them from Denmark who was very interested to be close to the people listening to them, learning from them and consider affirmative option for successful outcome. During her work time with us she made encouragement and professional support on enhancing livelihood strategies for self-reliance to ensure, the appropriate health care service and trained health personnel are available to the Gilo and Pokow area residents.
To build institutional capacity and responsibility towards delivery of health service in community. And respect for national and regional states health education policies, skills training and income generation to women and awareness creation of HIV/AIDS and promotion of equal involvement and female participation in many types of activities.
In generally her humanitarian interventions to assist our community was successful and bridge the gap between where we were and where we are now.
We wish in God’s hand you rest in our heart you live forever. Our condolences to her friends and family.
