September 2, 2010 (Gambella) - Gambella Peoples Unity Democratic Movement (GPUDM) has reelected Umod Ubong and Guaner Yener as Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Movement.
At the conclusion of the 4th GPUDM Conference held in Gambella town, the conference has also elected 11 executive and 33 central committee as well as five audit commission members.
It was noted that the conference evaluated the two years performance of the Movement. It has also heard Audit Commission report and endorsed the new regulation of the Movement.
In a communiqué the conference issued before wrap up its deliberation it said they will fight corruption and nepotism to further enhance ongoing development in the state.
The Movement expressed its commitment to enhance the participation and benefits of women in the effort to ensure democracy and good governance.
Movement Chairperson, Umod Ubong called upon all members to redouble their efforts for the development of the State.
