Awramba Times (Addis Ababa) – Ms. Anna Gomez, head of the European Union Election Observation Mission to Ethiopia-2005 and member of the European Union Parliament will visit Ethiopia in the coming few days to participate at the 26th session of the Africa Caribbean Pacific – European Union (ACP-EU) Joint Parliamentary Assembly

Ms. Anna Gomez had been critical to the government of prime minister Meles Zenawi inconnection with the disputed 2005 Election that resulted in almost 200 people being killed and 30,000 opposition supporters, journalists and civil society leaders detained.

Ms. Anna Gomez is considered to be a close friend of Ginbot 7 leader, Dr.Berhanu Nega. The 26th session of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly will take place in Addis Ababa from 25 to 27 November 2013. The meeting will be preceded by meetings of the three standing committees on 23 November and two workshops and the meeting of the Bureau on 24 November.

Ms. Anna Gomez announced on her official twitter page that she has got an entry visa to Addis Ababa from the Ethiopian Embassy in Brussels.
