April 13, 2008 (ADDIS ABABA) — Prime Minister Meles Zenawi sounds to have slightly eased on a previous firm decision that this is to be his last term in office.
In response to a Newsweek journalist's inquiry whether he intended to stay as prime minister after 2010, Meles responded: "This is likely to be my last term."
In a previous interview with the Time magazine's Alex Pery Meles was asked a similar question to which his response was that 2010 would be the end of his term and that "...the process will kick in" afterwards.
An earlier response to The Washington Post however was very firm and that he "personally" was not interested to stay in office after 2010.
