How on earth is it possible that the greatest butcher after Haile Mariam Mengistu, or by now even a bigger one, can pronounce words like development and democracy. It is so absolutely in contrast with the day to day reality in Ethiopia itself.

Opposition members are brought out of their houses on gunpoint. Around Gambella an ethnic cleansing is being performed. And reports are ordered to be rewritten to cover up atrocities. The testimony of the defected judges that wrote the report about the killing in June and November last year, tell it as it really goes. “Rewrite the report as was done with the investigation on Gambella, Anuak killings” was the message. In that admitting that these murders were covered up. Due to the testimony of the defected commission members and to the indefatigable Obang Metho of the Anuak Justice Counsel, the truth will prevail.

Probably the tyrant and his gang think that with repeating their lies relentlessly, and with their shameless and unscrupulous behavior, they can get away with it. Well up to now they did. But the times are changing. Sometimes you gamble and lose. The invasion by Ethiopian troops, although denied, does not get the support that Legesse, ‘ the name thief ’ Zenawi, Crime Minister, was hoping for. Although CIA hardliners are still spreading rumors about involvement of Al Qaida in the Union of Islamic Courts, it is obvious to many observers that for the first time since 15 years there is some peace and order over there. And after the scam they created in Iraq about the weapons of mass destruction, their credibility is not what it used to be. It is obvious to more and more politicians that for some reason the Ethiopian government is mingling in things that they should stay out. The gang is very much jointly responsible for the chaos and despair for the last 15 years in Somalia.

So there is nothing left for the tyrants to be proud of. They are in deep shit and are doing some last repetitions of tricks that worked before, lie and cheat.
