When the two parties of unity government agreed to appoint a neutral third party regarding the settlement of their dispute over Abyei region, a number of the Sudanese were panic that the relationship between north and south started to get into the bottle neck if the arbitration court rule over the disputing region and consequently more expansion of misunderstanding will come out.
In fact getting to the court is not an easy step to be taken by the decision makers, it should have come as the last resort if the positive process of the dispute solving failed and all parties were convinced that the relationship has reached to the worse stage.
Despite that the term of attractive unity did not change after the court verdict, but the tone of the speeches in political rallies reflecting reluctant, fear, lack of believability and impossibility to rethink as one nation after that amazing game.
Now at this critical moment political hypocrisy is not required from south leaders, we better be clear and line up with our sons who have shown courage and reality to tell the truths to the world wider that the unity will not be impose on us by the north without our consent, they must respect our rights to chose what we want.
Jalapa in north already confuse they don’t know even the station they are heading to; they don’t know the ultimate measurement of the unity, instead they are busy with attractive unity. The separation must not worry us if we believed it is a part of our legitimate rights declared by CPA as an option.
The key factors of unity has been destroyed intentionally by the northerners over the past century, they know their historical mistakes. They are aware about the out come of the oncoming referendum. Let us speed up mobilisation of the citizens to let them know how to vote and let them know where the politicians stand in. Tell them without fear that 1+1 = 2 and don’t add y or x to confuse them.
The majority in the north are happy if south could go without another military confrontation except the Middle East nations and Foxes from North Africa pushing hardly from back doors.
Our president himself Mr Bashir has repeated it several time in different occasion outlining that he will line up with separation groups if southerners choose it and refuse to reunite with north rather than getting into another war.
Another journalist from Islamic front wrote in the newspaper before demanding formation of the north movement calling for separation of north from south instead of unwelcome unity. I remembered they called him El-Thieb Mustafa who seems to be one of the NCP members.
If it is true why we hide ourselves despite that Arabs made it very clear in newspapers and political forums before. Our poor citizens in rural areas are not educated; they need intensive orientation before referendum and we need to use short form of communication to let them know and be on right track.
They must know what we are after, but if we still addressing them using political styles it will be a waste of time not fruitful at all, they need many Pagan and Lino to show them new strategies and teach them with courage and the real target we are aiming to.
The right time has come to remind ourselves with the role of the red army over the past two decades; they involved themselves in the struggle along side with their brothers and fathers before they could reach legal age simply to liberate the land they believed belong to their ancestors.
Many of them died in number of front line resulted from military confrontation, starvation and diseases; some did not reunite with their parents until today because they were concentrating and focusing on that land to restore the dignity and freedom.
But wavers today are telling different stories; they can’t remember the past, focusing on their own interest, they can’t remember the pains experienced and endured by red army. My friends the red army did not enjoy teen age lives because they were in front line. Do we agree to destroy the little we had built in twenty years?
My friends they are watching you day and night and they know how to respond to you when they want to do so, it is a matter of time and you better be well prepare before their chance could come. Try to avoid the wrong place you are in, and change your views right now. Red army does not care about tribalism and I strongly believe that they are the real symbol of the nationalism in the south.
Brothers and sisters we must reject the attractive unity for it is not really attractive, it is another political ambush to block the future of the next generation, it is not attractive at all, it should be call useless unity that required more make up and manicure on her fingers to become attractive, but if we agreed to marry this ugly woman it will amount an admission or consent to dig our own graves before they could kill us. Think about.
Please don’t chase this unity it is not the real one, it looks like spider net easy to get in, but getting out from it required more skills and we don’t have it, otherwise you will spent the rest of your lives working without permanent career, moving from town to town searching seasons jobs. Are you happy to die without permanent job and property? If you are not happy to be in Gadarief scheme every year try to accept my poor words and fight the tricky unity by all means.
