According to the police in Taunton, Massachusetts, a driver struck several parked cars before crashing into the front of a building early Sunday morning. The incident occurred at around 2:05 a.m. in the area of 59 Broadway, located off Route 138. A photo of the crash scene shows a truck that crashed into Karen’s Shear Talent, a hair salon situated at 65 Broadway.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported in connection with the crashes. The driver of the truck, a 22-year-old man, fled the scene on foot. However, an officer later found and identified him. The man was evaluated at his home before being transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
In a statement, Taunton Police Chief Edward Walsh mentioned that they are taking steps to connect the driver with appropriate services. As of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the crash, and it remains under investigation.
The incident has caused temporary closure for Karen’s Shear Talent, as the salon was significantly damaged by the crash. A post on the salon’s Facebook page reassured customers that everyone is safe.
