Elderly Couple Killed and Man Hospitalized in Fife Motorcycle Crash

An elderly couple tragically lost their lives in a motorcycle crash in Fife. The incident occurred on Monday at approximately 12:40 pm, just north of the junction between A914 and A91, near Balmullo and Dairsie. The crash involved a red Honda WM motorcycle and a black Yamaha Custom V Twin motorcycle.

Emergency services were called to the scene and unfortunately, both riders of the Honda motorcycle, a 72-year-old man, and a 64-year-old woman, succumbed to their injuries. The woman was taken to Ninewells Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The 72-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The rider of the Yamaha, a 62-year-old man, was also taken to Ninewells Hospital, and his condition is currently critical.

To facilitate the investigation, the road was closed for several hours. Inspector James Henry of Fife Road Policing expressed condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. He also appealed to anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the motorcycles involved prior to the accident to contact the authorities. Dash-cam footage is particularly sought after, as it could aid in the investigation.
