Multiple Injuries in Tour Bus and Truck Crash in WA’s Mid West

At least 15 people have been injured in a collision between a tour bus and a truck in the Mid West region of Western Australia. The accident occurred on Port Gregory Road in Sandy Gully, which is located more than 450 kilometers north of Perth. The incident took place around 9:10 am on Friday.

The tour bus, carrying 45 passengers and two staff members, was en route to Northampton, approximately 16 kilometers southeast of Sandy Gully. Meanwhile, the truck was traveling in the opposite direction.

Emergency services were quick to respond, and 15 individuals were treated for injuries at the scene. Fourteen of the injured were from the bus, while the truck driver also sustained injuries. Two of the victims were reported to have serious injuries.

St John Ambulance transported six injured individuals to Northampton General Hospital, while eight others were taken to Geraldton Regional Hospital. Local police are present at the crash site and have advised motorists to avoid the area.

Authorities are actively investigating the incident, with officers from the major crash investigation section examining the scene. They are seeking any witnesses or information about the truck and bus leading up to the crash.
