Kamloops Mountie Injured After Being Struck by Fleeing Vehicle

A Kamloops Mountie was injured over the weekend when they were hit by a vehicle that was attempting to flee a traffic stop in the Versatile area. The incident took place at around 3:30 a.m. on August 27.

The officer had pulled over a Chrysler 300 near the intersection of Copperhead Drive and Versatile Drive. The reason for the traffic stop was that the driver was found to be driving without insurance. During the investigation, the driver was arrested for obstruction. However, she allegedly drove away, causing injuries to the police officer in the process.
