A man is currently in the hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Langley on Tuesday morning. The incident resulted in the closure of a road for several hours. According to Langley RCMP, the man was discovered on Logan Avenue near 200 Street at around 3 a.m. after reports of an impaired driver operating a red motorcycle.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found the driver lying on the side of the road, while the motorcycle was found in a ditch nearby. As a result, Logan Avenue, spanning from 200 to 204 streets, had to be closed for more than 6.5 hours. The investigation of the scene involved Langley’s Criminal Crash Investigation Team and Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstructive Service.
While the exact factors contributing to the crash are still being determined, alcohol is believed to have played a role. Langley RCMP urges anyone with information about the driver’s actions leading up to the incident or any witnesses to come forward and contact them.
It is important to prioritize road safety and make responsible choices while driving. Drinking and driving can have serious consequences, not only for the person behind the wheel but also for innocent bystanders. Remember to always designate a sober driver or use alternative means of transportation if alcohol consumption is involved.
