Power Outages Close Schools in Nova Scotia Following Post-Tropical Storm Lee

Several schools in Nova Scotia are temporarily closed on Monday morning due to power outages caused by post-tropical storm Lee. The closures affect eight schools across two centres for education.

The South Shore Regional Centre for Education has announced the closure of Park View Education Centre, Petite Riviere Elementary School, Newcombville Elementary School, Wickwire Academy, Greenfield Elementary School, Verge House, and pre-primary at Lunenburg Academy due to power outages.

Similarly, the Halifax Regional Centre for Education has cancelled classes on Monday at Shatford Memorial Elementary school for the same reason.

The power outages are a result of the aftermath of post-tropical storm Lee, which has caused disruptions across the region.
