"Respect is the living style of human kind", said major Gen Akwai. Adding that people should go to school regardless of the ages, and must maintain the culture as well. He also appealed to the people to go home during population census exercise scheduled to take place in November 2007, so that they will be counted in their home area.

Furthermore, a Member of Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly, Hon. Thomas Omot Opodhi, advised the Anyuak living in Juba, other parts of the county and Diaspora to go home, in preparation for population census exercise. Hon. Opodhi, said, you know very well today that Pochalla and Pibor Constituency is represented by one person from Boma Payam, while Akobo is represented by Mr.John Luk Jok, illigitimate person. People should return home to avoid more complaints and disappointments in the aftermath of Census exercise.

Speaking during the meeting, Pochalla Commissioner. H.E. Lt.Col. John Joseph Abulla, called upon all Anyuak people to come and develop the county.

Lt. Col. Abulla referred to the youth at the meeting as the commissioners of the same age group, calling them “Tek Aduo” (power is back), a generational name given to his group by late King Agada Akwai Cham, during his reign. He said Tek aduo has a practical meaning at this time.

He expressed his gratitude to the gathering but citing that he is not very happy because we just have 2 persons in GoSS. I want you to learn, so that when they retired, there will be enough educated young men to replace them, rather than staying like teeth that when one drops, it is for good.

Lt. Col. Abulla, advised educated members of the community to return and work with them together, saying that development is for the people and by the people. I alone will not bring any change unless we join together. This reunification of Anyuak should be a task of every Anyuak, so that IDPs and others in Diaspora can get confidence and return to rebuild their home areas.

Meanwhile, 1st Lt. Opul Cham Ojulo urged educated Anyuak to come and work in Southern Sudan. 1st Lt. Ojulo said, we fought and represented our community in SPLA/M war of liberation, but at the moment it is the turn of educated persons to come home and join other in implementing CPA.

Every body should return and take part in development process of the Southern Sudan, 1st Ojulo added that the community should appeal to GOSS to give them special consideration in remembering of Anyuakland which had been hidden in a hole throuogh out the Movement (SPLA/M). The one day meeting had brought all Anyuak in Juba together and was attended by over 200 Anyuak, and few invited guests.
