May 12, 2010 (JUBA) — The Anywaa community members in Juba gathered at Lt. Gen.David Okwier’s residence in Juba yesterday to celebrate a tremendous victory that has put SPLM in power after a very contested and first of its kind election trail in Southern Sudan.
The Anyuaks have registered a very big record in Jonglei State after they voted SPLM 99% in all constituencies.
The main purpose of the dance show was to congratulate the general SPLM participation in Pochalla County and particularly to congratulate and compliments the victory of David Okwier and Charles Wello Onyony; the two SPLM members who are parliamentarian elect for Juba –Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly.
The dance was observed by high profile Anya Nya I veterans and community leaders and youth. The youth sang and passed a message to elders to remain united and vigilant to secure every possible victory all the time.
While celebrating peace and prosperity through SPLM golden victory, the singer praised the name of his Excellency president Mayardit and waved to the multitude the precious paint of the Late Dr John and Kiir’s portrait.
The portrait was painted and crafted by Ojulu Okello, an experienced artist who donated the portraits to Lt. Gen. David Okwier and all Anyuak leaders as a gift of his hands towards a prosperous peace and nation building.
The dance organizer, Nyigwo who is also a payam administrator in Pochalla County introduced the theme of the dance as ‘JUNUB TËËNNØ’
