January 20, 2008 (Khartoum) — Multitudes of Anywaa community members gathered in Khartoum on Friday evening to celebrate the success of their sons and daughters who did well in Sudan exams.
For the first time in Sudan, the number of Anyuak students attending university education began to rapidly increase, as the community starts to highly value the importance of education in the process of development.
A total of 20 new fresh Anyuak students have already been admitted to various Sudanese Universities, in different fields of specializations, this year in Khartoum.
Hundreds of Anyuaks attended the welcoming celebration organized by Gilo University Students and High Institutes Association. The celebration, came under the theme “ mago kong” Anyuaa : ‘Let us preserve the Anyuak culture’.
Ambassador Dhanojaak Oboygno, who was in charge of the celebration, narrated the history of education in Anywaa Kingdom. He strongly called upon the Community to think ahead about the coming census, election, and the Referendum. Ambassador Dhanojaak was appointed ambassador in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs last year.
Oropap Group for dancing presented beautiful show on African dancing at the end of the celebration.
Worthy of note again is that there is already a good number of Anyuak students in different universities in Sudan more than elsewhere. It has opened the road for the coming generations to follow. The Anyuak Kingdom will flourish.
