December 24, 2008 (Nairobi, Kenya)) -- Sources within and outside Juba confirmed that Gov. Kuol Manyang's recent comments about him being appointed as SPLA chief were a part of a well-organized secrete plan. His comments were part of politics of Confucianism. Influential members of the South Sudan ruling party, SPLM, are now considering launching a fierce fight against who might have involved and what caused such a move to take place. Those involved are believed to be very small in number and some put the number at ten.

Nhial Deng Nhial

In his Nairobi hotel room was one government official who asked not to be name. The official said that "the appointment we all heard from the news was what I called a planned plan." You know people within the Government are acting like they own the SPLM/A, he added. The bottom line here is that we will wage a fierce and an endless war against any one who involved in the corrupt tactics, he continues.

Back in Juba, there are several credible reports that one respected senior party member is considering resignation. SPLM party is eating up its future and new party may soon emerge, he was quote by saying.

The news of the appointment of SPLA Affairs front man was welcome by many in the South Sudan Armies. But some reports suggest, mode within the SPLA isn't what think of could be.

In one of the SPLA bases around Juba, one commander, from Bor Dinka, is reported to be very sad due to the Kiir's choice. "President Kiir has sent a very bad signal to other tribes of Southern Sudan and he will now lose both respect and support from these people who first looked at him as a person who seem to unite people", he asserted. My only bigger fear now is how the mood will be in the government and how he will convince them of his decision" he added.

One South Sudan expert in Uganda put it this way. "The message of the commander is clear; he was talking about other tribes of South Sudan, especially the Nuer, the second largest tribes in Southern Sudan. He was clearly worried of many issues which in my case are so many." I don't see how president Kiir went that far, he elaborates.

In Kansas, USA, a well respected and an influential leader within Dinka community who asked not to be name was reported by saying, "I fells an uneasy and stuck...don't know what to say at this time." His some of his close friends’ believed it is a part of frustration he got from the government weeks before the appointment of Nhial Deng Nhial. Friends said that he is very close to many influential leaders within the Government of Southern Sudan (GOSS) and tried his best so many times to convince them of the appointment being given to others tribes. Some of his friends went even too far by declaring that some of his friends in the government turned on him and declared him as being soft and suggested he may have been manipulated by some circles, perhaps other tribes.

An estimated of more then 1.5 millions lost their lives in Sudan's deadly civil war and more then 2 million fled to neighboring countries and around the world.

In 2005, the Comprehensive Peace Agreement between South and North Sudan which created the Government of Southern Sudan (GOSS) was signed in Nairobi, Kenya.
