July 30, 2009 (Manitoba, Canada) — Sudanese immigrant living in Winnipeg is missing and his older brother fears the worst.

Paul Silvio, 21, has not been seen since about 5:30 p.m. Monday, when he went out for a bicycle ride.

"It made me worried. I'm just passing the information so he'll be located. He has never stayed out without calling if he's late, and he doesn't work night — he works day," said Silvio's brother, Robert Ohisa.

Ohisa has lived in the city for more than a decade, but Silvio arrived from Sudan just a year and a half ago.

Ohisa said Silvio has no friends with whom he is close enough to stay away from home. In fact, he has never been out later than 10 p.m. without calling, Ohisa said, adding that his brother usually leaves the residence only to go to his full-time job, ride his bike or play soccer.

He rarely socializes because his English isn't strong, Ohisa said.

"I'm so afraid something might have happened, or someone might have kidnapped him, or something like that, which I don't really know," Ohisa said. "I have no clue where in the city he has gone or where he is."

Silvio was last seen wearing a red shirt and black pants and riding a silver bicycle. The Winnipeg Police Service's missing persons unit is investigating.
