August 27, 2009 (BOR TOWN) –– The commissioner of Pochalla county has denied accusations by payam administrators that he is planning to relocate the county’s headquarters.

The administrators who are from Pochalla, Ajwala, Akila, Umila and Buratoor payams also accused the commissioner of failing to pay them their salaries.

David Okweri, the Pochalla county commissioner, spoke to Sudan Radio Service by phone from Bor on Thursday.

[David Okweri]: “That information is absolutely false and it is not true. First of all, I’m still in Bor. I haven’t reached Pochalla county yet. Imagine, how on earth can somebody who has just been appointed decides to move the capital of a county when he has not reached the headquarters of the county itself? Can such a thing happen? It’s not even the responsibility of the commissioner to remove the capital of any county. That’s not a responsibility of the commissioner. No! There is nothing like that and it has never been discussed and those who are saying that are absolutely those who want to cause chaos. Those are people who want to cause trouble. Those are people who want to cause disunity amongst people for their own selfish interest.”

Pochalla county commissioner David Okweri was speaking to Sudan Radio Service from Bor.

This dog doesn't want change to come to Pochalla county.
