Governor slams north over alleged Plane raid

November 26, 2010 (PANYAGOR, Jonglei) — Jonglei State Governor Kuol Manyang Juuk campaigns for referendum registration in Panyagor, Twic East County headquarters. The governor calls upon the eligible citizen of the County to come out all and register for the referendum on independence of Southern Sudan.

Meanwhile, Speaking during a public rally at Panyagor trading center, Manyang says he condemns the attacks carried out by Sudan armed forces (SAF) warplanes in Northern Bhar el gazal State of South Sudan for the alleged bombing of Sudanese People Liberation Army (SPLA) base at Kiir Adem area in Aweil North County on Wednesday.

He noted that, South Sudan army is not ready for war, given the ongoing registration for South Sudan referendum slates for January, 9, 2011.

According to Manyang, the provocation in the pretext of pursuing Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) of Darfur is not in the interest of peace loving people in the South and he condemned it.

“This should be investigated and all Peace loving people and international community should condemn the violent perpetuator when found.” He stressed.

He added that, since the start of the registration, the people of Southern Sudan are on the right track and there is no need to response to provocation.
