Sudan Petroleum Minister Refutes Pro Unity

November 26, 2010 (PANYAGOR, Jonglei) — Sudanese Minister for petroleum in the government of Nationality Unity Dr. Lual Achuek Lual Deng arrives in Twic East County. The minister who hails from Nyuak Payam of Twic East County also the area member of parliament(MP) in the national Assembly in Khartoum registered in Panyagor Town and urges people of greater Bor to register for referendum.

However, the constituents have gathered at the County SPLM Office leaving the minister to be welcome at the airstrip by Commissioner and area MPs at State Assembly in Bor Hons. John Amor Kuol and Deng Aguer. The two MP urge the community to register, keep their cards safely and mark their calendar day till January 9, 2011 to come out all and cast their votes.

While speaking on behalf of his people, Paker Payam Chief Manyok Ajak says, “this is the time of pulling row in between and we have sharp knives that will cut row.”

On the other hands, his counterpart from Lith Payam, Chief Ayiik Bol calls on Dr. Lual Achuek Lual Deng to tell them his real messages. “Media carried out message couple of months ago that you are pro unity,” asks chief Bol.
When asked about his pro unity speech published in the newspaper some months ago, the minister refuted saying, “it is time for registration and not for campaign, unity is supposed to be on the basis of being made attractive to people of Southern Sudan. Now we need a peacefully registration process,” he added.
    
Meanwhile, the County Commissioner Dau Akoi Jurkuch thanks Dr. Lual Achuek Lual for coming to register in his constituency. “I know negative media looks at angle of marketing and exaggeration.
