Teenage Boy Due in Court for Serious Assault in Clubmoor

A 16-year-old boy from Anfield is scheduled to appear in Liverpool Youth Court tomorrow (September 11) after being charged with section 18 assault and possession of an offensive weapon. The charges stem from a serious assault that took place in Clubmoor.

On Thursday (September 7) around 9.45pm, the police responded to reports of a group of people fighting on Townsend Lane in Clubmoor. Two injured boys were taken to the hospital in a serious but stable condition. Later that evening, a third boy arrived at the hospital with injuries consistent with the use of a bladed weapon. Fortunately, he received treatment and was discharged.

Following the incident, a cordon was put in place on Friday (September 8) covering parts of Townsend Lane and Townsend Avenue. The police conducted house-to-house inquiries in the area.
