There will be temporary road closures in downtown North Bay from this evening until Saturday to accommodate community events.
The North Bay Pride’s Trans March will be held on Friday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The following streets will be closed: McIntyre Street from Wyld Street to Cassells Street, Cassells Street from McIntyre Street West to Main Street West, Main Street West from Cassells Street to Memorial Drive, and Memorial Drive from Main Street West to the Kiwanis Bandshell.
On Saturday, the North Bay Road Race will take place from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. During this time, Memorial Drive will be closed from Oak Street to Judge Avenue.
Later on Saturday, the North Bay Pride Parade will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The closures include Oak Street East from 555 Oak Street East (Ontario Northland Corporate Office Parking Lot) to Regina Street, Regina Street from Oak Street to McIntyre Street, McIntyre Street from Regina Street to Cassells Street, Cassells Street from McIntyre Street West to Main Street West, Main Street West from Cassells Street to Memorial Drive, and Memorial Drive from Main Street West to the Kiwanis Bandshell.
Residents are encouraged to plan their travels accordingly, consider using alternative routes, and allow extra time for their journeys if needed.
