Toronto police are seeking the public’s help in identifying three suspects who allegedly assaulted and attempted to steal a TTC passenger’s phone. The incident took place on October 27th, on an eastbound train on Line 2.
According to the authorities, the victim was seated on the train when an unknown man approached and demanded their glasses. When the victim refused, the man forcibly tried to seize the glasses, but the victim managed to retrieve them and immediately called 911 for help.
Shortly after, the initial suspect was joined by two other men who proceeded to attack the victim. The trio then attempted to steal the victim’s cellphone. Eventually, the suspects disembarked from the train at Broadview Station and fled the scene. Thankfully, the victim only suffered minor injuries.
In an effort to bring the perpetrators to justice, law enforcement agencies have released photographs and descriptions of the male suspects. The first suspect is believed to be between 25 and 30 years old, approximately six feet tall, and was last seen wearing a grey “Canada Goose” vest, a white sweater, light blue jeans, white running shoes, and a black ski mask.
The second suspect, described as 30 to 35 years old and six feet tall, possesses a thin build and sports a short afro and a beard. He was last seen wearing a navy puffer jacket, a green hooded sweater, black track pants with red and yellow lines down the sides, and black and yellow running shoes.
The third suspect, who is also six feet tall and between 25 and 30 years old, boasts a thin build and sports black hair in a ponytail. He was last seen wearing a black “Jordan Paris” tracksuit, white running shoes, and had a “RIP” tattoo on the right side of his neck.
